You saw the post on the main page: http://nclrclub.org/forum/content.php?7909-Club-Elections-April-2nd

Election time!

Also opportunity to meet/greet new members, and "Gears Show and Tell".

I also want to add an element of Gear Swap and Sale; bring your gears for sale - might be taking up space in your garage, and could be someone's treasure!

Discussion already started about members bringing their RTT tent for show and tell; Rupert bringing his Camping Lab, Antonio Tepui (similar to ARB Simpson III tent), and Brian Hannibal RTT. Come on bring your gears!

I can bring my Camel Trophy 110 w/200 TDI, and can share day to day driving and trail exp with 200 TDI.

Be great to see LR3/LR4 owners share their experience with mode selection, and day to driving experience and on the trail. Maybe Sas can talk about the rod mod lift for the LR3/LR4/RRS.

I would bring the RRC (Rubicon Ready Classic) and talk about lift, armor and preparing for the Rubicon, but I can only drive one vehicle at a time (smile). Perhaps someone else who has been to the Rubicon can bring their Rubicon Ready LR and discuss what it takes to prepare for the Rubicon. Strong possible group return trip to the Rubicon in June or August!

Another top winch and winch selection.

Also GPS... topics are unlimited.

Anyone else like to show and tell!

Looking to do this starting perhaps 11am... followed by election, and then BOD meeting @ 1pm.

Also, I'll plan on being there as well. Maybe we can have a brief breakout session to introduce people going on the Death Valley trip. If I can get real ambitous, maybe I'll try and pack some of my gear and bring it along. At a minimum, I'll bring a packing list, some detailed maps of the routes, and some coordinates for our campsites. Maybe I can get lilKrawler to help people upload them to their GPS unit.

Click "Reply with Quote" on this post if you are interested in participating in the "Show and Tell"; starts 11am @ Mexxis following by members voting and BOD/officer meeting @ 1pm.

I thnk Rupert, Antonio and Brian are planning to bring their LR w/RTT (Roof Top Tent) for show and tell. Anyone else?

Suggestions for volunteers for show and tell:

- Need someone to talk about winch and winch selection (perhaps Will can do this since he is very familair with its operation/safety aspect)

- Need someone to showcase their LR3/LR4 and what new owners should know e.g. recovery points....

- I volunteer Chuck to talk about upcoming Death Valley Trip in April e.g. requirements, trip details and Q&A from interested attendees

- If Lutz is coming, talk about Pismo in May

- I'd like to find out who'd be interested in doing the Rubicon in June

- If Jflores can make it, talk about his planned trip to Fordyce in July

- And anyone else interested in e.g poss Gold Lake in August (Chuck leading?), Blue Lakes in Sept (Dan leading?), Baja Mexico in Oct (Carlos/Ron planning), and Lost Coast in Nov (Ron leading).

In addition to show and tell, opp for members and guest to swap gears/garage sale.

Click "Reply with Quote" on this post if you are interested in bringing goodies for sale/post what you want to buy.

I know Michael is selling a 1/2 rack. Mark aka GriffSC is selling a nice Series LR.... Anyone others?

I'll start. Graeme bought a pair of sliders from me; will be bringing them to MOM for delivery.

I also have a brand new BFG MT KM (not KM2s) in 265/75/16. Was for $150. Now $99 during MOM.

Also complete exhaust system w/2 cats and 2 CO2s for RRC LWB. Was for $200. Now $99 during MOM.

And 2x Hella 4000 Pencil Beam Lights Was $250 a pair w/Hella wiring. Now $99 x 2 = $189 a pair warning harness included.

May have others.... Pictures coming soon.

I plan to be there. I'll bring the G4 DII outfitted with Hannibal rack, awning and possibly roof top tent. I may also bring my ARB Fridge/Freezer (it will likely be empty). Also, while not a complete setup, my off-road expedition kit, auxiliary communications kit and recovery kit. How much we want to set up and demo will depend on space and time. I'm looking forward to this since it will get me in the "lets go wheelin'" mode for the Escape to Death Valley over Easter.

As for any thing for sale, I won't bring anything but a list of the stuff excess to my needs. If anyone needs anything I have, we can work out a place and time for sale/delivery.

We should talk about the "British Invasion of the Jeepers Jamboree" that is happening in July. I know that Frank, Tony, Barry, and I are for sure confirmed to be going there -- the more the merrier...this would not be an official trip -- people just sign up with the Jamboree, pay their fee, and then we travel in together.

Will we have access to a projector that a computer could display a powerpoint presentation on? If so, I will build something for Death Valley in powerpoint...

Just a few logistical info for new members planning to attend and not familair w/Mexxis.

Address: 9110 Alcosta Blvd, San Ramon, CA for you GPS.

Tel. 925.803.1111 Ask for Enrique or Carlos if you need directions.

Start time: 11am and then election to follow. Make sure to go inside Mexxis to cast your vote: look for Jim or any of the other club BOD/officers if you have any questions: Will, Mike, Luis, Brenton, me and others...

Look for registration table in the parking lot between two LR trucks; we hope to have the NCLR club banner abovet table. Look for Jim, our Secretary, at the register table; Will, our President, be handing limited edition 5th anniv NCLR club shirt for renewing members.

Mike, our Treasurer, will be there if you have any Qs on NCLR club fees or if know of any companies who'd like to sponsor NCLR; Mike likes money for the club. Lol. I will be there also if you have a lead sponsor you want us to go after/pitch our club.

Brian, Antonio, and Rupert will be setting up their RTT (Roof Top Tent) during MOM for Show and Tell; please stop-by and ask these guys any Qs. Two of the RTTs will be from Camping Lap (Rupert), and Tepui (Antonio) so if you are interested I made arrangement for group buy with these companies. Let me know. Tepui is local (Santa Cruz) so you will save on shipping, and it's a similar to the ARB Simpson tent except made in China.

Luis/Dave will have a show and tell of their LR3s. So LR3 and LR4 owners come by; ask your Qs re: tires, roof rack, rod mod....

Me aks RonCT110 will be with my Camel Trophy 110 truck to talk about planned trip and if you want to lead a trip, I can help with process e.g. starting a gauging interest thread, what to put in your post....

Chris aka El Solis, if he gets the new starter installed, will be there with his Camel Trophy 110 and can discuss future planned "first aid" class for NCLR memers. Qs like member slipped on the trail, head hit a rock, what do you do to help till First Responders come.... I remember being in Search and Rescue and my team was pounding a trauma victim's chest till medics came; kept the victim alive till professional help came.

We also have gear swap; I am bringing the y-pipe cats/02 sensors. Wohoo, once I get the cash from Steven, will have money for diesel and lunch @ Mexxis. Lol. Anyone else pls post WTB or WTS here before Sat.

Look for all these setups across the parking lot from Mexxis - see attached satelite photo.

Be there!

What a "Members Only Meeting" event this Saturday! What a great turn-out. Great to see numbers of NCLR members show up with their families, and the Show and Tell part is my next favorite.

Thanks to Brian, Antonio, Rupert and Michael for displaying their RTTs, and others like Luis who helped with the LR3, and brough their LR trucks for the show and tell.

Also want to congratulate our newest Board of Directors (BOD) to NCLR: Colin, Enrique and Dave aka Sasquatch. And re-newals: me, Brenton and Will. Thanks to the club members who voted for these BODs. We also want to give thanks for past BODs who had served and volunteered their time and efforts.

Next BODs elected the officers. With that said, please welcome new President, Vice President and Treasurer, and re-elected Secretary (Jim) and Director of Public Affairs (me) stayed with their current officer position.

Proud to announce our newest NCLR president Mike aka astatementofmike. Please congratulate him for stepping-up to the plate; we lead NCLR to the next level along with other new officrs: our former president Will who is now our new Vice president, and new treasurer Enrique.

Also want to just mention that NCLR has a strict no drinking and driving on-road and off-road policy. At MOM event, I hope it didn't look like we were contradicting our policy. You might have seen me w/a beer on hand ejoying the day checking out the Show and Tell, walking around, and talking to new NCLR members. Anyways, didn't drive during the MOM event. Parked all morning and afternoon, had a meal at Mexxis, and finished up a cup of coffee at Starbucks before driving home. Was just important for me to mention this.

C yah all at the next event!

yes....we were supposed to go to Monterey this weekend and have some fun, as it is Suz's spring break..but Nolan was sick last week, but all better, then Gabrielle came down with something which was nasty, and now Nolan has it...plus my boss was at work all last week "with a sore throat he has had for weeks...but the kids are really sick....".....so wonder why I have a sore throat? Confined spaces and I think my allergies are kicking in too with the wet/dry weather pattern. UGH.

So, I am hoping Monday I will be okay and out of the house....

I had the worst sore throat ever! it lasted 3 weeks and I gave up & went to the doctor after taking anti-biotics it literally went away within 2 hours phew! but now after a week I feel it is back again. That damn Japanese fallout or the Chem trails are to blame.

But with the Nolan giving me cause to change and shower 4 times today with his projectile......I don't doubt I may get ill again...
