Saw this Series Rover coming back from lunch today

It was parked in the driveway of some random building. It looks like it doesn't get much attention at all. The door handles and latches are covered in cob webs. I took some pics on my iPhone and decided to look at Google Street View to see if it's there. Sure enough it is. It's a RHD, and didn't have the tire on the hood, but it's there in the Street View. I'd love to hear if anyone has some more info about this truck. I wouldn't mind taking it off the owner's hands but that wouldn't fly so well with the g/f as we're looking to move into an apt. soon. The paint seems to be in fair condition for the age, probably original? Maybe? The body looks dent free for the most part, not too many chips. If that were mine, I'd detail it inside and out, then the following day drive it through some dirt and get it all muddy :)

But, but, but...you're making mucho cashola now and having secondary transportation is very important. Tell her how romantic it is to travel in a car that has no electronics or radio and you could really have nice long conversations or take the top off and hit the beach.

Just for fun I looked the address up on Google Earth, and could not find it on the street or around the building in the pic. BUT I do see what looks like a series II pickup in the yard!

Looks pretty good, actually. It's been to WCB before, obviously. Wonder what/who "Jake Wright" is? Doesn't sound familiar.

Leave a note on it and see if anything comes of it. Might be able to pick it up for a song and some free video games...

I was a little off in my location of what appears to be a SeriesII pick up. Look on the East side of san Pablo Ave at 53rd street, just behind the white van in the big yard. It looks like you can just identify the front wings. Maybe it's for sale!
