Spring break for the kids is Easter week. (the first week in April). I am leading a trip into Death Valley and wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining up for all or part of the week.

The plan is to head back in to Striped Butte Valley via Goler Wash and Mengel Pass, and set up a 5 day camp at Geologist's cabin (or nearby cabin). Attractions/areas to be explored include Redland Canyon (where we pulled the guy out from being stuck the year before), the remains of Barker Ranch (Charlies hangout), Warm Springs Canyon area (poking around the hot springs and the old mining areas). Also on one day do the Pleasant Canyon loop, including Chicken Rock where a rig rolled over the side during Panamint Valley Days. As opposed to an "expedition" this will be more of a "set up camp and do day trips" type of trip, meaning that some can hang back in camp/hike do solo activities if you don't want to wheel the entire time. There are a few old mines in the area I would like to find/explore, along with some old cabin sites.

So far there are two rigs going. If you are interested in joining us, post up here. If there is enough interest, I'll go ahead and get this set up as an official run.
