Spotted this Rover while driving South on 680 on 9/4 in the Milpitas, Santa Clara, San Jose area. Despite passing each other several times, me being in the StormTrooper, and my 3 girls frantically waving at another Land Rover, the driver didn't give us a second glance. Must've been really focused on something :-)

I registered our club in Rovers North's club directory; see if we can get any of our club articles (Brian's work) or club LR photos in their directory, or would be great club discount since (I purchase from them) enough of us buy from Rovers North.

Anyways, ran into this article; interesting read; follow your passion could turn into a good business story of Mark and Andrea Latorney - owners of Rovers North: http://www.roversnorth.com/web/media...vers-North.pdf

Box of 10 came to about $38 @ Costco.

I added it up and if I had to buy it indy @ REI, would cost me about $64.

Shelf life of 6 years. Great for camping and emergency food. Just rotate them. Use for camping, and replenish supplies for emergency prepared-ness use.

A box of this, supply of water and Jet boil/fuel in case your family (in my case 2 adults and 2 small children) gets stuck out there, and need to buy-in more time for 3-4 days till Search and Rescue finds you! SPOT and cell phone helps also!

Y'all,

My assistant has the aforementioned Acura and is getting jerked around. Aamco told him there were 40 things wrong; another shop said Aamco was full of BS, and he only needed a new solenoid. He can't believe either. Can anyone suggest a shop? If I don't get his car repaired, I cannot get him into the office.

Thanks,

This may be more of a vent/rant than anything, but this past week, I have had my alarm to DSR go off 3 times. Each time, the key fob was not in anyone's hands, and on one occasion, my neighbors were outside and said no one had been near the vehicle. It only seems to happen in the evening at my house, so I am guessing there is something(some one) in the area that is setting it off. Has anyone else had this happen? DSR is an '06 LR3 (may the model rest in peace and not pieces)....

Hey All,

I always wanted to go to the Bonneville Speed Week. Is anyone interested in going too? From the Bay Area it's about a 10 hr drive but cutting through the sierra and then driving through Utah could be cool off road, maybe a 2 day trip to Bonneville, One day looking at the speed freaks then back... The speed week is from AUGUST 12 to 20

Here is more info about the week:
http://www.scta-bni.org/Bonneville/S...20SCHEDULE.pdf
http://www.scta-bni.org/Bonneville/HelpfulHints.html

I could do any day of the week...
